Am off with a friend to Madeira for a week. Never been there, know nothing about it but as I intend to do nothing but rest and relax, it does not really matter. I used to think that if one was retired holidays are not necessary, but have come to the conclusion that they are. I love being at home and my roses are coming out and looking lovely, but I feel a need for a change of scene as it has not been a good last few months and I am feeling rather low at the moment.
So have decided that no lap top will come with me - I shall check my emails now and then but that will be that till I am back in about ten days. I have a few books and my Kindle with me so off I go. The sun is shining this morning so hope it continues to remain so.
