This confessional originated over on Scott Pack's blog Me and my Big Mouth and seems to be popping up all over blogdom. Everyone has been very brave in owning up to their dislikes and waiting for the storm to break, so here are mine:
- I think Picasso is rubbish
- I dislike Bach. I once sat through a performance of the St Matthew Passion which was excruciating in its utter tediousness. I took a vow then never to listen to it again and I have not. Say this in a room full of musicians and then duck
- I think Citizen Kane is a load of pretentious claptrap and have never been able to watch it all the way through
- I have never watched Big Brother or I'm a Celebrity Get me Out of here (well, the odd five mins every now and then just to remind myself how awful these programmes are)
- I avoid reading anything on the Booker Long list if at all possible
Right - there we are. I could have made it ten or twenty easily which is a bit frightening...
