Well here is another challenge not to be passed up as it is right up my alley. It is the Classics Winter Challenge and those taking part have to read five classics in January and February. I have pulled some from my shelves that have formed part of a collection and have been waiting my attention. So, some of my classics are totally new to me:
- Anthony Trollope - Kept in the Dark
- Pot Luck - Emile Zola
- Jo's Boys - Louisa May Alcott (have not read this for at least 30 years)
- George Eliot - Scenes from Clerical Life
- Persuasion - Jane Austen (I must be allowed on indulgence and this is it!)
This is a good way to start off 2007 and thank you A Reader's Journal for coming up with this terrific idea.
