I have not forgotten my mission to show you the entire contents of my china cupboard, well really it is my crock cupboard, precious little china as it would be recognised in it. The Sevres and the Spode were all broken long ago and now it is Woolworth best or, as you know, tat I pick up on my journeys.
Today's dynamic duo come from Atlanta and Toronto. Both bought when attending the annual conference at which I am the general gopher for our firm.
The truly hideous one on the left is the one from Atlanta. There is precious little in Atlanta that is historical or pretty enough to go onto a mug (IMHO only of course), bearing in mind that it has been burned down at least twice as aficionados of Gone With the Wind will be aware of. That year I organised our reception at a restaurant which used to be the Old Federal Bank and was the oldest building still standing in the city, this was dated 1912 so you will see that everything else prior to that date had gone.
Mug on the right is, of course, from Canada. Toronto to be precise. Couldn't be anything else with those wonderful maple leaves. I did not really have a chance to see much of this city as I flew back just a day after the end of the conference but I did get a chance to go up the CNN tower and look down through the glass floor ...big mistake.
I have loads more to come you know. This is either going to drive my stats through the roof with lovers of trivia logging on or send you all fleeing to the hills but I think it is just a bit of fun and hope that you are enjoying it too.
I hope...
