Get a load of this cover....

I have an old Crime Club copy of this book with this dustjacket.  I have just finished reading it, one of Dame Ngaio's theatrical themed murders, this time Mary Bellamy an ageing jealous actress, dies a ghastly death, poisened with Slaypest, a lethal spray which she uses on her azealas.  Simply great stuff but this cover is utterly wonderful.  Lurid, sensationalist and the dead body on the front only resembles the victim in that she is wearing a red dress and diamonds.  Classic.
