Well feeling all superior yesterday as I went over to see a good friend of mine, she is a Life Coach, for coffee, to see her new extension (stunning), say hello to her new dogs (simply lovable), stroke her older dog (lovely and resigned in the face of the newcomers) and to flaunt my superior knowledge of all things blogging as she wants to start a blog. We went through all the bits about posting, design, widgets the whole kit and caboodle and came home feeling very smug and the Queen of the Blog.
OK so what does she then do?
Creates a stunning looking blog, fantastic banner and the whole thing is wonderful. I have never managed to create a banner in the last two years as I just cannot grasp how to do it. So smartypants think I, do me one. And she did and here it is.
Let me know what you think - not sure it is a bit of a ponce having me at the front page but do let me know. I am being really nit picky and have asked if she can move me just a tad more to the right (can't have her thinking she is perfect now can I?)
Her blog is now up and running and I was going to tell you all about her as she is a good friend, brilliant Life Coach and all round life enhancer and there are not many of them around I can tell you. However, I think the best thing to do is nip across and have a read. You will find her at The Life Behind the Coach . I know that Life Coaches come in for a bit of stick sometimes with accusations of being too 'touchy feely' etc, but I have to say that I have never met anybody who talks such commonsense as Lynette and she has helped me a great deal over the last few years when, as most of you know, I have had work and life difficulties. (I should mention that my first meeting with Lynette was some nine years ago when she was then training as a reflexologist and needed somebody to practice on. Considering that this meeting took place with her looking at my feet, bunions and all, which are not exactly things of beauty, I am delighted that this inauspicious start did not sent Lynette running off in the oppositie direction). However, she is of sterner stuff and, happily, and fingers crossed, all my difficulties are behind me now and I hope that my only contact with Lynette in the future will be that of pure friendship, but I know full well that if I needed advice, there she would be.
Oh, and Patchy, Alpaca and Henry have made the draw for The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and I will be posting the winners and photographs later on this afternoon once I have got over the excitement of my new banner..
Vanity, vanity, all is vanity....
