He did not do it, but by losing in the way he did, by his speech on court, by the interview he has just given to the BBC and by his demeanour, he has gained thousands more supporters than he ever had before. I have always supported him though readers of Random may think otherwise when he has driven me mad, and though I know he would rather have the title than us all appreciating and liking him more, I think he will find that this will help him in the future.
He has just said that we don't put pressure on him, he does not feel this at all at Wimbledon, he just wanted to do us proud and do it for the nation and he was sorry he did not do it.
Well he has done us proud and he will get there - he is getting better and better and I have noticed the difference this Wimbledon.
